T-Mark IBJ I.D

A new initiative developed in cooperation with Network Rail ECML designed to reduce the number of track circuit failures caused by defective Insulated Block Joints. Each IBJ is uniquely identified with a durable Gravoply plate (as illustrated) fixed to the nearest sleeper. Each joint is surveyed and identified on a diagrammatic plan of the area and any minor repairs carried out where required and electrically tested. It is then entered into an IBJ database and the Ellipse system.
